One great attraction of the hotel Dar Attajmil is its location, in the centre of the prestigious Laksour quarter, 5 minutes walk from the famous Djemaa el Fna square and the Mouassine Fountain. This is a location that is perfect for taking full advantage of the treasures of Marrakech and its ancient Medina, souks and secret gardens.
Picking your way down a little pink-washed street, brings you to the door of Dar Attajmil. Behind that door is an atmosphere of calm and intimacy, under the subtle yet enthusiastic direction of the two young Italian owners. It is they who have taken a traditional Morrocan town house (“Dar” just means “house” in Arabic) and restored it to its original splendour. Their clever design has taken the best local craftsmanship and blended it with a dash of contemporary style and the beauty of the origina architecture.
The four double rooms and one suite are individually decorated in an easy East-meets-West style. Each room is kept comfortable whatever the weather, with fans, air-conditioning and heating. To preserve the peaceful ambience, there are no telephones or televisions but there is internet access for those who need to maintain their contact with the outside world.
For such a little hotel, there are plenty of lounges and little spaces for moments of reflection including a library and outdoor dining area on the patio. The rooftop terrace has panoramic views of the Medina and is an ideal spot to enjoy a drink or maybe some Moroccan mint tea while watching the sun go down on the pink city, or for a candlelit dinner under the stars where Moroccan and Italian cuisine come together in harmony.
The hotel’s own hammam provides a holistic spa experience that is both relaxing and revitalising. As well as the traditional hammam, the spa service includes a wide range of face, body and hair treatments, a relaxing massage with the famous Argan oil by a professional masseuse and therapist trained in the ancient Moroccan beauty secrets.

What We Say:
Lucrezia and Monica have created a delightful little riad in the heart of the Medina, packed with all the beautiful little details of life.Customer Feedback:
"The staff are fabulous and nothing was ever too much trouble. The noise was never an issue and the room was a tranquil oasis with fresh dates, scented soaps and cool breezy linens. A short stroll from the medina and the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. The roof top garden was heaven and the perfect place to perfect your tan or read a book while sipping the best mint tea I have ever had."
"A fantastic location, and a wonderful place."
