The hotel is described as having a ‘loft' feel. The popular roof terrace overlooks the sweeping coastline of the bay and is a vantage point from which to view all of Essaouira. This level has three rooms, each offering ocean views. On the first floor, there are an additional four rooms, two of which feature private balconies positioned around a central patio, where the sun floods in from above.
The modern décor follows a ‘zen' approach, whilst avoiding too much minimalism by featuring an interesting, even curious, mixture of eastern objects. The cream interiors of Madada Mogador give a calm, fresh feel that complements Essaouira itself. This is a most relaxed of towns when compared to the theatre of the Marrakech medina for instance.
Small and unpretentious it may therefore be, but Madada Mogador is one of the more highly-equipped Moroccan little hotels in terms of facilities and services. iPod docks, wi-fi, cooker, a safe, car parking and a laundry service are all available. Meanwhile, manicures and pedicures, massages, blow-drying and even baby-sitting are at your disposal.
The ground floor is where ‘L'Atelier Madada is found'- the hotel's own cookery workshop for learning about Moroccan cuisine. In groups of up to eight, visitors can spend half a day learning the secrets of the local cooking style in the Oriental Lounge, and after lunch venture out to the souks to explore the regional spices and other local foods.
Restaurant:
Dinners in the beautifully decorated restaurant are an indulgence of Franco-Moroccan cooking, as one would expect in a hotel offering cookery classes.Breakfasts and daytime snacks may be taken wherever a guest may wish, in the bedroom, or perhaps on the terrace or inner patio. In a setting of relaxing music, sample seasonal cocktails, or maybe the tasty panini, club sandwiches or salads.
