The guest rooms are quite small and simple but their cleanliness and the bright Berber rugs and bedspreads lift them to another level. There is a salon for relaxing and drinking mint tea, and outside a roof terrace with the inevitable views of the mountains.
Houssine is a well-qualified guide to the Atlas Mountains. From a Berber area himself, he worked as a muleteer and in 2000 graduated from the Royal Moroccan Federation of Skiing and Mountaineering. He was subsequently able to become a mountain guide for a range of excursions. He can assist in arranging all manner of activities, such as trekking, mountain biking, horse riding, and 4x4 tours. Guides, mules and packed lunches can be organised for guests.
Dar Ouassaggou is an ideal little hotel from which to explore the mountains by whatever mode of transport you might choose, particularly thanks to Houssine's enthusiasm, knowledge of the area and experience.

What We Say:
Houssine is first and foremost a mountain guide, and he has created Dar Ouassaggou as a perfect base for all the trips and expeditions that the mountains offer. It's not luxury, but this is a way to really get in to the spirit of the Moroccan country without in any way roughing it.Customer Feedback:
"Thank you for our stay at Dar Ouassaggou. We have recommended it and the trek to our friends." R. & J.
"Very friendly and helpful family running it. Generous with advice about region. Delicious breakfast included in price - with good dinner offered at reasonable price. Very clean and cosy room with spotless bathroom and hot water. Excellent views of valley from roof. Would thoroughly recommend it!"
